The mysterious city of Dangjin.

Chapter 1 

The city of Dangjin has existed since ancient times. He was famous for his invincible wars and untold wealth of gold. Everything in the city was made of gold, even clothes. It was considered as a separate state. There was a peaceful and prosperous life. But the greed of other states destroyed this harmony. The war began in the city of Dangjin. The war claimed many innocent victims. Unable to withstand this bloodshed, the Emperor of the city of Tangjin asked for help from the great golden dragon. Fortunately, the dragon heard the emperor’s call and stopped the war. He hid the city of Dangjin from the people. Since then, the city of Dangjin has become a myth, legend or fairy tale. Many have ceased to believe in this legend. But I am Merey, an archaeologist from Kazakhstan, I believe in this and I am going to find this mysterious city. Since childhood, as soon as I heard this legend, I wanted to find this city. But with age, I stopped believing in it, but Korean archaeologists found an ancient golden seal with the coat of arms of the city of Dangjin, and this returned my desire to return to the search. Now I’m on a plane to Korea, because I found a trail leading me to the amulet of the Emperor of Dangjin City, and the amulet will lead me to the city of Dangjin itself. I’m a few steps away from my goal, wait for me the mysterious city of Dangjin! After landing at the airport, 2 days have passed. I finally received permission and immediately set off. According to my information, the amulet is located near the Chongjien waterfall. But I have already examined the entire territory near the waterfall, but did not find anything. Honestly, I was furious, I thought that there was no amulet here and my information was wrong. With sadness and anger, I was about to return, when suddenly, I hit my head on a pole. The pillar was ancient, but strong.  After a couple of minutes, I began to examine the pole and noticed that there were some symbols on it. Since I am an archaeologist, I deciphered the symbols and found out that the amulet is behind the waterfall. Unable to restrain myself, I shouted: «Ha ha I was right, wait for me, the city of Dangjin!». It was stupid, but I was beside myself with happiness. After passing through the waterfall, I found a tunnel.

Chapter 2 

It was dark in the tunnel, so you will break your eyes. I took out my flashlight and finally saw something. In the tunnel there were many statues of gold, instead of eyes they had two diamonds, one blue and the other red, and they are all different. It is strange that the statues remained intact, for so many years no one tried to steal at least one diamond. After all, this place is easy to find. Although someone said, I spent a lot of time to find it. It’s been about 2 hours and I’m still walking through the tunnel. My legs are already falling off, what’s wrong with this tunnel, it’s endless. I stopped near one statue and carefully examined it, it turns out that I am walking in circles, since I have already passed this statue. So where is the amulet? Oh and how can I find it can ask the statues and they will give it to me. No, stop talking nonsense. We need to think carefully, maybe there is a secret passage here. Well, where could he be? So maybe the statues are different in some way, except for the faces. Soooo? Exactly the eyes! One statue has two red diamonds, while others have different ones. Probably need to look for this statue. When I found this statue, I immediately began to look around the whole statue and everything around it, but I did not find anything. Maybe gouge out his eyes, I thought. I started to pull out one diamond, when suddenly the floor fell under me, I barely managed to climb onto the statue and not fall off. Below lay a pile of bones, after all, someone was here, though he didn’t return. The trap slammed shut and the hole with the bones became the floor again. (The statue cannot stand the main character and falls, but Merey got off very lightly). Ahhh, it hurts, I was not so heavy and you could hold me, I said to the statue. Among the wreckage, I noticed something sparkling and golden, it turned out to be the very amulet for which I came to this godforsaken place. Hooray! The amulet was so beautiful, all golden with the coat of arms of the city of Dangjin, and in the middle there was a beautiful blue stone of an unknown breed. Taking the amulet in hand, as in the plot of an adventure film, the tunnel began to collapse. I could have predicted it. Damn why does the past want to kill me?! I ran to the exit at the speed of light, figuratively speaking, but did not have time to get to the exit, it was blocked. And after that I lost consciousness, and when I woke up I found myself in some room.

Chapter 3

The room was reminiscent of Avicenna’s room. There were jars with some kind of decoctions in the cabinets and much more, although at that time I did not look around the whole room. A girl with black hair and beautiful eyes sat next to me. The girl was much prettier than me. She looked at me, smiled sweetly and said: «You woke up!». (Our heroine is an archaeologist and she understands and speaks ancient languages). The girl got up, went to the door and called someone. After that, a guy with ash (white) hair and blue eyes, dressed in white traditional Korean clothes, like a model, entered the room. As soon as he entered, the girl left and left us alone. I was a little confused. He put clothes and food on the bed and left. It was a little strange. I changed and ate. Soon I thought and went to the window, the view reminded me of the ancient city of the Goryeo era. I even had a crazy thought that I was in the past. No, no, it’s impossible. My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door, and guards entered the room and grabbed me. I was shocked. I was led into a huge room resembling a throne room.At the very end, the Emperor sat on the throne, he looks very much like Emperor Taejo, the first ruler of Koryo. They not only brought me here, but also that guy and the girl. The emperor looked at us intently and began to question us.

-Who you are?

This guy answered this question:

— We are ordinary wanderers, Your Majesty, me and this girl. (He spoke as if he were really talking to the emperor).

He pointed at me, I was about to object, but that girl interrupted me.

— Your Majesty, I found them when I went for healing herbs, the girl was sick and because of this I brought them here.

— What is this amulet? — asked the emperor.

The emperor showed exactly the amulet that I found.

— We do not know, Your Majesty, we found him during our long journey. — answered the wanderer.

The emperor ordered his servants to bring the court scholar, and soon a guy with brown eyes, so handsome, entered the door. The emperor gave him the amulet and ordered to find out its origin, and he let us go and allowed us to stay here for a while. We all bowed and the doctor girl took me by the hand and led me back into that room. I thought it was a scene and I laughed, and the girl looked at me and was surprised.After laughing, I said, «Uh, sure, thanks for acting out the skit for me, but you’re still very busy filming the movie, don’t you think it’s already too much?» The girl looked at me with surprised eyes and asked: «What is filming?». Her words shocked me, I realized that she really does not know what filming is and asked: «Where am I?».

— In the imperial palace, in the capital of the state of Koryo Kegen.

Her words shocked me so much that I fainted. Waking up, again in this room, I noticed that a girl-healer and a wanderer were sitting next to me. She smiled sweetly again and left. The Stranger looked at me and asked: «Who are you?» I decided that I would not tell him my name and tell him who I am, otherwise this could greatly affect the past. I answered:

-I can’t tell who I am, only that I’m from a distant land.

— Well, if you don’t want to talk, then okay, let it be your way. If you don’t want to say your name, then I will call you Trey (meaning oyster), he said.

-What?! Why?!

“Because you look like an oyster, and by the way, I’m Taeho.” Nice to meet you!

— And me not strongly. — offendedly answered I.

And after that, fate connected me and Taeho.

Chapter 4

1 day has passed since the incredible event that happened to me. I still wonder how I managed to get into the past. It is unlikely that the same thing happened to someone as it happened to me. All this time I was thinking how I got into the past and what I need to do to get back. The only thing that came to my mind was that the cursed amulet was to blame. Maybe he brought me here, which means he will return me back. The only obstacle is that the scientist has this amulet. And how can I get it back? At night, I decided to sneak into the scientist’s room and steal the amulet. The door was ajar, in a room full of books, a scientist (a handsome guy with brown eyes) was sitting at the table. He studied some books. After looking around the room, I noticed the amulet, it was on another table behind the scientist. I tried to quietly approach the table and take the amulet, but since I’m always unlucky, it didn’t work quietly. I caught on the books and they fell with me. The scientist noticed me, but he did not call the guard, but gave me his hand and helped me up. This of course surprised me. He looked at me and then at the amulet and smiled.

— You could just ask me for an amulet, and not try to steal it. All the same, this is your amulet, and with the study I finished. — He said.

After these words, I felt so ashamed that I wanted to fall through the ground.

Where are my manners, I haven’t introduced myself yet. I, Emperor Taejo’s court scholar, Jung Hee. And you?

I couldn’t answer him and just shook my head.

So you don’t want to answer. Hmmm how to say, i know you are from the future.

— What? How did you find out?

— I studied the amulet and found out that it is an amulet that can send a person to the past. One of the emperors of the city of Tangjin ordered the creation of an amulet that can send to the future and the past. But they could not create such an amulet, and created two amulets, one sends to the past and the other to the future. The emperor was pleased, but these amulets had one flaw, they can only transport a person to another time once, and then they are useless. The courtiers decided not to tell the emperor about this. The emperor never used the amulets and after his death his courtiers hid the two amulets in two different places. The amulet that can send you to the future is somewhere in the ocean. Around this point. (He pointed to this point in the ocean on the map.) The amulet is located in this place somewhere under water.

— Why are you helping me? Can I trust you?” I asked. 

— I just want to know more and you gave me this opportunity. As for trust, I don’t know, but I’ll take you there and then you’ll know if I’m telling the truth or not and whether I can be trusted.

His words touched me so much that I was even embarrassed and blushed. Then we began to come up with a plan for how we would find this amulet and decided that Jung Hee would tell the emperor that thanks to the amulet we could find treasures and then Kore would become even richer (well, who would refuse treasures), the emperor would give us permission and we would hit the road. We all came up with the only thing left to do. After our conversation, I went to Taeho and brought him up to date, he decided to come with us, of course I didn’t want to, but still I couldn’t cope without him and Jung Hee. The next day, the Emperor gave us permission, and I, Taeho, Jun Hee, the general, and the archer set off.

Chapter 5

With the permission of Emperor Taejo, we set off, but not alone. With us were a general and an archer, as if our guard. General Baekhyun, one of the best generals . He has beautiful black hair and his eyes resemble a blood red ruby. And archer Taewoon, brown-haired with brown eyes, he is the right hand of General Baekhyun. Why are all the guys I met here all handsome? And why am I the only girl among 4 guys? It makes me feel a little uncomfortable. And now everyone calls me Trey, it’s all because of Taehoe. It annoys me, but I have to face it, I even began to get used to this nickname. We are going to Ganghwa, where we will board the ship given to us by the Emperor and arrive at our destination. And then we will find the amulet and I will return home. Honestly, I’m glad that Jung Hee knows that I’m from the future, thanks to him I can return and here he became my best friend. I was able to make friends with Baekhyun and Taewoon, but Taeho is a mystery to me. He is friendly with me, but it feels like he is avoiding me. And that worries me, because I’m a person who wants to be friends with everyone. We are already on the road for a day. We have now settled in for the night. I decided that I would be the first on guard. Everyone tried to dissuade me, but they failed. I would be ashamed if only I wasn’t on the lookout. Everyone fell asleep, and I guarded my sleeping friends. The night was quiet, the moon shone brightly, the stars shone in the sky. It was so quiet it made me sleepy. But I didn’t give up and stayed on the lookout. Suddenly, I heard some rustling, I quickly took the dagger that Taeho gave me for safety, and was ready to attack, well, just a little. The sound came from under the bushes, I went up to the bushes and noticed a fox there, I was so glad that there was nothing dangerous there. And in the same second, when I calmed down, a girl fell on me from a tree. It was painful. Her fall woke up the guys and they grabbed their weapons, but as soon as they saw what happened, they lowered their weapons and helped us up. The girl who fell on me was very beautiful, she had blond hair and beautiful eyes. Baekhyun looked at her with a displeased look and said, «Did you run away from the palace again, princess?». This shocked me, so this is what one of the princesses of Koryo looks like. «I followed you this time to make sure you return to the palace with treasure ,» she said.

— Princess Jiu your father will be worried about you. You should come back.» Baekhyun said.

— Don’t worry, I left a note for my father, so all the responsibility will fall on me. Can I go with you?

She came up to me and begged me with her puppy eyes. I couldn’t resist those eyes and nodded my head. Jiu hugged me and she was so happy. True, Baekhyun, Taewoon and Jung Hee looked at me with an evil look, showing their displeasure. Jiu lay down in my place, and I decided that I would continue to stay on guard, but Taeho took my hand and said: «Your time is up, I will replace you.»

— But I have no place to lie down. — I said with an embarrassed face.

— Lie down in my place.

— What?!

He looked at me with such a serious look that I had no choice and I lay down in his place. It certainly embarrassed me, but it was so sweet of him. Then I calmly fell asleep and in the morning we all set off together.

Chapter 6

It’s been a few days since Jiu joined us. A little more to Ganghwa. On the way we came across a village. We do not know the name of the village, and there is no need to ask somehow. One kind old woman allowed us to stay with her, although she had only two free rooms and we divided them into girls and boys. Me and Jiu went to look around and buy something for dinner. It is good that the Emperor finances us, otherwise we would be left without the necessary funds. Jiu looked so happy, she was like a small child on a walk, everything is interesting to her.

— You’re interested in everything, right? Now you remind me of a small child on a walk. — I said with a smile.

She blushed and smiled.

-Thanks for letting me go with you. And then I would again be alone, locked in four walls.

Her smile disappeared for a moment and sadness appeared on her face. Not really, she ran away because she wanted to see the world and didn’t want to be alone anymore.

— Thank you. Thanks to you, our journey has become even more interesting and now I am not the only girl in our team. 

She smiled again and we moved on. Jiu was already tired from our walk, but all that remained was to buy meat for dinner. I gave some of the Jiu that we bought and sent it to the guys, while I went for the meat myself. It’s good that I managed to buy a good piece of meat, now I have to go back. Suddenly I heard a sound. It came from behind a tree. I went to look, but someone hit me from behind and I passed out. When I came to my senses, I was tied to a chair, and a nice girl was standing next to me. She looked confused.

«Sorry.» She began to apologize.

I did not understand anything, it was she who kidnapped me, but for what. She does not look like a thief, rather she looks like an ordinary girl. But as they say, you can’t believe what you see. She apologized for 5 minutes.

— Why did you kidnap me? I asked.

— I live alone and work with all my might, but still I do not have enough money. And I have to steal, although I haven’t stolen anything yet. Well, I tried, but to no avail.

The strangest thing was that the money remained with me, but she did not touch the food.

— And I also left a note to your friends so that they don’t worry about you, they know where you are.

— It’s not stealing!

Now I feel sorry for her. Someone knocked on the door, she opened the door and my friends entered the room. Taewoon grabbed the girl, Taeho freed me, and Jiu and Baekhyun took the groceries. 

— How did you find me?

«According to the note, there was a map drawn there, but we have been looking for this place for a long time,» Tahoe replied.

— We’ll give her to the guards. Thawne said.

«But she didn’t steal anything,» I said.

— She kidnapped you.

— But you saved me. Maybe we shouldn’t give her to the guards.

— And if she tries to steal something again, she might hurt someone.

The girl was very happy and vowed that this would not happen again, that she would change. Jiu also agreed with this, but the guys did not. And I again felt the displeased looks of all the guys on me.

We all returned together to that sweet grandmother’s house, and the next day we hit the road

Chapter 7

After Min joined us, I noticed that Taeho became more careful and watched my every move. Once I asked him about it, and he replied that he was watching me, because I always get into trouble and delay the trip. Of course, it was insulting, but partly he is right. I am clumsy and useless. Everyone who travels with me knows how to fight, except for me and Min, but at least she can stand up for herself. Once we were attacked by bandits, they all went into battle, I also went into battle, but I did not wound the enemy, but myself, because of which everyone was angry with me and took my weapons for my own safety. And then I decided to learn how to fight. I approached Taeho and asked him to teach me how to fight. And he just laughed and refused. I asked him to teach me for a long time and in the end he agreed. At last I will learn how to fight and I will no longer be useless. Taeho prepared a place for training and we started. At first, he taught me how to defend myself, but I didn’t do it very well and he decided to move on to the attack. First there was a sword, but I almost broke it, then there was a bow. I was better with a bow, but I almost killed Taeho twice. And he decided that it was better for me to fight with a dagger for the time being, he returned to me the dagger that he gave me at the beginning. I was so glad he came back to me. I was best at fighting with a dagger. Once we fought and fell on top of each other, that was the first time I saw Taeho’s cute reddened face, he smiled and laughed. I’ve never seen Taehoe smile like that. On that day, he praised me and said that I was an amazing girl. I still can’t get that moment out of my head even though it was one of the most wonderful days ever. After several days of traveling, we finally arrived at Ganghwa, where the ship was supposed to be waiting for us. On the road, we decided to stock up on weapons and food, because the path will be long. We stocked up on everything we needed and I decided to take a walk for now, while everyone else would develop a route and load everything onto the ship. On the way, I noticed a big gray cat, he was so fluffy. He was walking somewhere and I followed him. He brought me to someone’s ship. There were many interesting things on the ship. Nobody paid attention to me. I thought it was a merchant ship. I do not know how long I was on this ship, but the ship began to sail away from the shore. I quickly went to the deck, but we had already set sail. In the port, I noticed the guys and shouted: «I’m here!». Jung Hee noticed me and they all ran towards me. I don’t know how, but they got on the ship. But we did not manage to leave this ship. All our things, supplies, maps remained on that ship. Everyone looked at me with a very angry look, I felt embarrassed. They got so angry that Taeho took me and tied me to him.

-What!? For what?

— So that you don’t cause more problems.

I couldn’t even argue because I was in trouble again. The people who were on this ship and did not notice me, grabbed and tied us up. It turns out we are on a pirate ship.

Chapter 8

Like all pirates do, they wanted to feed us to the sharks. Of course, we tried to negotiate, but they did not want to listen to us. Until Ming accidentally said out loud about the treasure. That’s when the captain appeared before us. She was a beautiful girl about our age. Just one look at her lets you know that she is in charge here. In her hands she held the same cat, because of which I got here. She looked at us and asked: «What are the treasures?».

Baekhyun: We are here on behalf of the emperor, if you touch us, you will become enemies.

Pirate Captain: Okay. But it was you who infiltrated our ship.

I again felt the look of displeasure.

Jung Hee: Let’s agree, if you let us go and help find the treasure, then part will be yours.

Pirate Captain: I like this idea. We will agree well, we will bring you to the right place, and you will give part of the treasures.

Jung Hee: I agree.

Everyone looked at Jung Hee, and he only nodded his head to us, as if speaking, I will explain later. 

Pirate Captain: I’m So Yeon. Here I am the captain. My guys will take you to your cabins, and then you will tell us everything in detail. Two pirates took us to our cabins. We all looked at Jung Hee, he immediately understood what we wanted.

— Well, as you can see, this is the only option we have. Although we are on a different ship, our journey continues. This is good.

Baekhyun: How do we explain this to the emperor?

Taeho: Okay, then let’s continue the journey, but I ask you to be on the alert.

Seo Yeon: Can’t sleep?

Me: Yes. I’m worried about anxiety.

Seo Yeon: Why?

Me: So stupid.

Seo Yeon: Is it because you think we won’t find the treasure. And you’re afraid to disappoint your friends. Or are you afraid that if we don’t find the treasure we’ll feed you to the sharks?

Come on, we’re not so cruel, we’ll just leave you on a desert island.

We have been at sea for several days now. My training with Taeho continues. Baekhyun and Jiu are also training to fight. Jung Hee studies the history of the amulet, Min learns to shoot a bow with Taewoon. We will soon reach our goal. Waking up early in the morning, I heard Seo Yeon’s voice: «Hey, wake up, we’re there!» Hearing this, I quickly went up to the deck, but I did not see the land, there was only water. The others were also surprised, except for Taeho and Jung Hee. Jung Hee said: «We are in place now we must somehow go down to the depths of the sea.» We got into the boats and sailed on. After that, Seo Yeon took a bag of air and said: «Everybody go under the water, stick together. We don’t know what awaits us there. Go ahead.» She stepped into the water and waved to us. Jiu and Baekhyun went down together, Min and Taewoon also went down, and Jung Hee and Taeho gave me their hand and asked me to go down with them. It was unexpected for me, but still we went down into the water, they both held my hands and we slowly went under the water. At first, I closed my eyes out of habit, but when I opened my eyes, I saw a wonderful underwater world. Various fish of different colors swam around, we swam to the whirlpool and the whirlpool dragged us to the depths. We went down lower and lower and soon saw the entrance to an underwater cave, swam there. We finally surfaced and went deep into the cave. There were the same statues as in that tunnel where I found that amulet. We went on and on and came to a dead end. We started searching for a secret passage, but so far we have not found anything. Soon I felt that the wind was coming from somewhere, and I found a small gap and quickly told everyone about it. The guys started to break the wall and we went on. We reached a room with a whole pile of gold and precious stones, which I saw only in pictures. There was a statue in the middle of the room. Taeho and I took and broke the statue and found the amulet among the rubble. I took it and was so happy that I jumped for joy. Jung Hee came up to me and whispered in my ear: «When you are alone, then you will return to yourself.» I nodded my head in agreement and he smiled back. At that moment, Taeho looked at us with a disbelieving look. The pirates slowly loaded all the gold onto the ship and when the last batch of gold remained. We decided to return to the ship. But when we started to leave the room. Everything started to crumble. Again! Are you kidding me ! We quickly ran. And we managed to get out of the cave and return to the ship. We were very pleased with our find. Seo Yeon’s assistants began to carry the gold inside the ship. And only me and my friends remained on the deck.

Seo Yeon: “This amulet is so beautiful, let me take a closer look.”

Me: «of course»

I wanted to give the amulet to So Yeon, but the amulet slipped from my hands, fell and broke. When the amulet broke, we were sucked into some kind of funnel. Everything around was spinning and for a second there was a bright blue flash. When I woke up, I saw guys and people who were holding weapons over us. They were dressed like the ancient Saks. We found ourselves in a different period of time and in a different part of the earth. We are in Central Asia in the Saks period.

Chapter 10

Yes, it’s bad luck so bad luck. Most likely due to the fact that the amulet broke, we were sucked into the funnel of time and we ended up around 530-529. the war between Tomiris and Kir, and most importantly, that we got there a few minutes before the war with Kir. It is good that I know many languages, otherwise I would not be able to speak with them. I started negotiations with them, but to no avail they did not listen to us, at least they did not try to kill us. Soon Tomyris came, all in armor and so beautiful that she couldn’t take her eyes off her. She took all her warriors and they went into battle, leaving us unguarded. We have a chance to escape. Taeho took his dagger and cut the ropes.

Jiu: What’s going on here?! Who are these people?! Where are we ?!

Everyone looked at me intently.

Me: It seems we are in the past. Due to the fact that the amulet broke, we were sucked into the funnel of time and we ended up in the Saka period, during the war between Tomiris and Kir. Briefly say that we are now in a different territory and in a different time.

Jiu: I didn’t understand anything, but how can we return?

Me: I don’t know.

Everyone drooped and suddenly everything around started spinning again. I woke up because I was terribly cold. We were on the battlefield. On the one hand, there were French troops (sort of), and on the other, Russians. Now I understand where we are, in Russia in 1812, the Napoleonic War. We are in the midst of a war.

I shouted: «Run!»

I took Taeho and Jiu by the hand and we ran quickly, the rest of us also ran. When the military began to load the guns. I said: «Lie down!»

And then we crawled away from the battlefield. We hid and caught our breath. 

Jiu: So what’s going on here!? Why are we sometimes tied up, then we have to run or crawl from something.

Me: How to say now we are in 1812. I don’t know why we jump at different times and places, but we have a chance to return.

Everyone was in a good mood, but we were too noisy that a man with a gun was heading towards us. He pointed a weapon at us, I got scared, and Taeho took it and hit the man on the head and knocked him out. And again everything started spinning.

When I woke up, I heard people panicking and running somewhere. When I came to my senses, I looked up into the sky and saw that something in the sky was flying at us, it’s an atomic bomb. Me: Ummm how to say we really could have died, but survived and came back isn’t that enough. I again felt dissatisfied and suspicious look. And I had to tell everything that I was from the future and this amulet could bring me back, but now I will not return.

Every day, I began to like living here more and every day I realized that I could not stay here, which made me sad. I have so much fun here, but I can’t stay here, because I can change the course of time, it will be better if I return. And it seems to me that I am slowly falling in love with Taeho. I feel so good and happy with him. He is so sweet and kind.  What are you think Merey, it cannot be that I fell in love with Taeho, he is not my type and in general he is from the past and he mocks me all the time, this is definitely not love, forget everything. These thoughts made my heart beat even faster than before.

The next morning, we sailed to the island, which is separated from Kore by water and you can swim to the island. We got off the ship and moved on. We walked for about 4 hours and soon we reached the gates of the city of Dangjin. Finally I found this city. My dream has come true.

Chapter 12

The gates were so majestic that one could say that we were in the Middle Kingdom. They were made of gold and had a golden dragon depicted on them. The guards who guarded the entrance to the city were dressed in golden armor. Seeing Teho, they immediately opened the gate. The city itself was made of gold. The city is simply amazing, the description in the legends understates the beauty of this city too much. There was not only gold, but also precious stones that shone like stars. There was a huge golden dragon statue in the square. People here are all laughing and having fun, it felt like we were at a festival now. Seeing us, people approached us and began to question us. Children came up to Taeho and played with him. One child asked Taeho, «Brother Taeho, is this your fiancee?»

The child pointed to me. I blushed a lot and said, «No, no…»

Taeho also blushed and said that it wasn’t like, we were just friends. But Seo Yeon heard this, immediately looked at me and said in my ear: «You probably would like this? You did.»

Me: No, don’t talk nonsense.

Seo Yeon just laughed. And I just got more embarrassed.

We went to the palace. The palace is simply magnificent and incredible, I have never seen such constructions. I must have acted like a child. The emperor of the city of Dangjin looks like a kind, majestic and wise person, and it seemed to me that Taeho was somewhat similar to the emperor, maybe it seemed. Emperor: I did not think that my son would return home so soon, and even bow to me, you usually never did this. You also brought friends, and maybe my future daughter-in-law is among them.

Taeho: Old man, maybe you shouldn’t talk nonsense. I’m here on business, and then I’ll go on a trip again and I said that I’m not going to get married yet.

Emperor: Well, now I recognize my son, you are very similar to your mother, the same adventurer. Well, why are you here?

(I was shocked when I found out that Taeho is the son of the Emperor of Dangjin City, but I was not the only one who was shocked.)

Taeho took my hand.

Me: Umm okay uncle.

Emperor: Okay, now go. In the evening I will arrange a feast in honor of the return of my son.

We left the palace. I wanted to walk around the city.

Me: Taeho can you show me the city please!!!

Taeho: Oh good.

So Yeon: And we’ll go to our rooms, and then we’ll also look around.

It began exactly what was described in the legend. The battle that caused the city of Dangjin to disappear.

We all gathered in one room. All warriors took their weapons and went to the battlefield. Baekhyun wanted to hide Jiwoo, but she refused and decided to go into battle. Ming also decided not to hide, but to fight. Jung Hee, although a scientist, was also preparing for battle. I also prepared for battle, took a dagger in my hands, put on special equipment, but Taeho took my hand and said: «It’s too dangerous, stay here.»

Me: No, I’ll go to battle too. After all, it’s not in vain, I trained. I want to be useful in combat. I will go!

Taeho: It’s too dangerous. You may get hurt.

Me: So what! I will fight no matter what.

Taeho: I don’t want you to get hurt!!

Taeho: I like you. And I don’t want you to get hurt or get in trouble again. You are dear to me. So stay here. In safety. Great. I promise that I will return everyone safe and sound. And you be here.

The emperor helped in the battle with at least something.  Even from here you could hear the sounds of battle, the sound of beating blades, the cries of brave warriors and the groans of the dead. How can I help ? What should I do? I hope all is well with the guys, and especially with Taeho. They’re probably fine, but they’re not that simple. Wait, I can help the guys. According to legend, the emperor asked the golden dragon for help. And the dragon stopped the war. If I find and bring the golden dragon, then the war will stop and everything will be fine. Like two fingers on the asphalt! A!? Where can I find this dragon? First you need to ask the Emperor. Soon I found the Emperor. 

Me: Umm Emperor, so uncle can I ask you something?

Emperor: You worry about Taeho.

Me: Yes, but that’s not the question. You know how to summon a golden dragon.

Emperor: How do you know that?

Me: I’m from the future. In my time, the city of Dangjin is just a legend that almost no one believes in. But since childhood, I wanted to find this city, and now my dream has come true, now I just want to help save this wonderful city. According to legend, the emperor asked the golden dragon for help. And the dragon saved the city. If this is true then we can stop the fight.

Emperor: Well done. To summon a golden dragon, you need to put the amulet in the golden stella, which is located near the Heavenly Lake outside the palace. And remember, if you call the dragon with all your heart, he will respond to your call. Here, take the amulet. Just don’t break it!

Me: Taeho told you everything, didn’t he?!

Emperor: Yes. Well good luck! I hope you save our city.

Me: I won’t let you down.

Why did it seem to me that this moment is like a scene from a movie. Of course I remember everything, but I have no idea how to do it. Damn .. Okay, I’ll figure it out on the spot. Now the salvation of the city is on my shoulders. I hope I don’t screw up.

Chapter 14

I reached the lake and put the amulet in the stele. It’s good that I didn’t break the amulet on the way. But nothing happens like everything did what was required. But no result. Stop, you need to ask the golden dragon for help from the bottom of your heart. I closed my eyes and began to pray, how to say, to ask for help. Suddenly the amulet was seeded with golden light and an earthquake began. There was something in the water. It was golden and big and moving. A huge golden dragon flew out of the water, because of it I was almost washed away into the lake, now I’m all wet, but now is not the time to complain, I need to help the others. The dragon flew up to me and looked at me. I just bowed to him and asked again for help. He looked at me and seemed to nod. He abruptly flew at me that I was on his back. Why did you have to take me with you? In flight, the city was even more beautiful, I liked flying so much, although it was scary, because I am on the back of a huge dragon and we are flying to the battlefield.  I imagine Taeho’s face when he sees me riding the dragon and the faces of the others. We flew up to the battlefield. All the wars looked straight at us and were in shock. The archers of the enemies tried to shoot directly at the dragon, but they did not succeed. The dragon lowered me to the ground and began to create a huge whirlwind so that all enemies would be blown away. At first, I thought that not only the enemies would be carried away, but also ours, and I already wanted to say: «Run.» But the whirlwind only carried away the enemies, they flew away far beyond the city. So they need it. The whirlwind has disappeared. The dragon rose high into the sky and began to create a barrier. So the legend is true, but it wasn’t the emperor who summoned the dragon, but me. Well, okay. As the dragon created a barrier, he flew up to me and gave the amulet, I said thank you to him and the dragon flew away. All the wars shouted loudly with the joy of victory. I waved to the guys, and they ran to me and hugged me tightly, they didn’t even hug, but fell on me, I already fell. We were very happy to win.

Taeho: So you are good at fighting too. Although you appeared very strangely and did not even fight, the great golden dragon did all the work instead of you.

Me: But it helped. And you should have seen your face when the dragon flew in, and I was sitting on it. Now from now on, I am the heroine who saved the whole city. 

Taeho: And who told you that?

Me: They’ll tell you soon. Now I am a heroine, you could thank that I came to the rescue and brought the golden dragon.

Taeho took my hand and pulled me towards him and kissed me on the lips.

Taeho: Thank you, oyster.

We all walked back to the palace, all the way Seo Yeon and Jiwoo talked to me about that kiss with Taeho. Ming also talked to me about it. How embarrassing. Entering the palace, we immediately met the emperor, he congratulated us on the victory and thanked me for my help. 

Me: I did almost nothing.

Emperor: No need to be modest. You helped us. Now everything is ready for your return home.

Me: True.

I was happy, but I was immediately overcome with sadness. So it’s time to say goodbye. We all entered a large room. There were already some people waiting for us.

Emperor: Take the amulet and stand in the middle of the room. Say something goodbye.

Me: Goodbye guys. Thank you for everything . I had a lot of fun with you.

Jiu hugged me.

It’s been about 10 days since I returned to the present. My life is back on track. Except now I’m not looking for the city of Dangjin. Now I’m on vacation. Looking for where to start. What research will I do now? But it seems to me that I will not be able to return to my normal life. I miss the guys so much. Most likely only their descendants live in my time. I hope that they lived a happy life, and Taeho probably had children and a wife. Somehow uncomfortable when you know that your friends have long been dead. And even their graves no longer exist, probably. Well, I will never forget them. Because I promised.

Well, enough sour, it’s time to live a normal life. This day was ordinary, like all days, until evening came. 

Already had dinner. I cleaned up after myself as usual and got ready for bed. I put on my pajamas and got into bed. And someone knocked on the door and the doorbell rang. I was half asleep and I really wanted to sleep. I opened the door. Taeho was standing there dressed in a white T-shirt, jeans and a leather jacket on top. And in the back stood Jung Hee, Jiwoo, Min, Taewoon, Baekhyun, Seo Yeon and they were all dressed in modern style.

Taeho: Well hello, oyster.

From these words, I realized that these are definitely my friends from the past. And that made me faint. When I woke up it was already morning. The guys sat next to my bed and slept nicely. Especially Taeho, he slept so sweetly holding my hand. But I don’t understand how 

Because of our conversation, the guys woke up. I got out of bed and made breakfast. We all had breakfast and talked. Baekhyun and Jiwoo got married and have a little daughter named Tray after me. Taewoong and Min also got married. Only Jung Hee and So Yeon have yet to find a mate. We had a lot of fun. 

Taeho: Merey, do you want to come back?
